Feeling completely lazy and blah today, so I'm gonna do a meme. (Tagged by ~
Athair-Ryu) Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee~ I'll probably ramble
a bit a lot. As a side note, I'm slowly making my way through a bazillion messages, so bear with me if I don't respond right away....
1. You must post these rules.
2. Each person must post 10 things about themselves on their journal.
3. Answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post, and create ten new questions for the people you tag to answer.
4. You have to choose 9 people to tag and post their icons on your journal.
5. Go to their pages and tell them you have tagged her/him.
6. No tag backs.
7. No garbage in the tagging section about, "You are tagged if you're reading this." You legitimately have to tag 9 characters. NOPE.
1. What's your favorite thing to draw? least favorite?
I like to draw tribals the best, they're relaxing. Specifically, anything with wings. I love wingsssss <3 I hate drawing faces. I'm terrible at them, and since everyone's is different it's hard to capture each person's uniqueness.
2. What's your favorite food (or type of food)? Least favorite?
CHEESEEEEEEEEE omnomnom The nacho cheese from Taco Bell has always been one of my favorite things xD But now, I'd have to say that I love smoked gouda. Handmade is the bestttt *drools* I could talk all day about cheese. I have cheese books, cheese mags, and always at least one quality cheese in my fridge at all times. In seventh grade I even acquired the nickname "The Cheesinator". It's kinda stuck ever since. Chocolate is my second favorite....Godiva's 85% cocoa bar is currently my favorite. I love dark chocolate, plus it's healthier than milk chocolate. I could talk all day about food. I love food. I want to travel the world and sample lots of things, or take a European cheese tour <3 I like most foods, so picking a favorite/least favorite is hard. But there are some foods I genuinely hate. My least favorite would have to be celery or peppers. I *despise* celery, even just the smell of it makes me feel sick. Peppers are good when not by themselves, like in tortilla soup or cheese. I have a love/hate relationship with pepperjack. I can't hate it, since it's cheese, but I don't love it either. I also have an insatiable sweet tooth....
3. Favorite season? why?
SUMMER. (In order: Summer, Winter, Fall and Spring are tied). I love summer because my bday is in summer (July 19th!) and I love the heat. Plus, summer is lazy, there's water gun fights, roasted corn, the Fourth of July/fireworks, BBQs, outdoor games like Fugitive, hanging out at he pool, ice cream, the beach, vacations....I could go on and on. I also love the smell of summer. The smell of freshly cut grass and the sound of a lawnmower are in my mind equated with summer. *happy feels* <3
4. Do you like to read? if so, favorite book/type of book?
I LOVE reading. As a wee kid, I hated chapter books ("WHERE ARE ALL THE PICTURES MOMMY HOW CAN YOU READ THIS") but soon grew infatuated with them once I had started the
Redwall series. It's still one of my favorites. You can read them a million times and still love them. I also adore the HP series. In general, I love fantasy novels. I'm currently more into reading manga, though xD I love being able to check out 20-odd books at once and finish them in a week xD A lot of manga has more depth than people think. (Take CLAMP, for example. I love all of their amazing, detailed stories <3)Many of them aren't exactly kids' books. I also love nonfiction of certain genres. I love books like
A Natural History of the Senses, which explores our senses and how they inpact our daily lives. Trust me, it's more lively than it sounds. It's like
This is Your Brain on Music or whatever the title of that book is, except it encompasses all of the senses. Food books are good too; I'm reading about the history of chocolate right now (yes, still haha). In general, the genres of psychology, the human body, nature, food, animals, and ancient history enthrall me. I also like books about peoples' beliefs and religion. What makes people/things/animals/the universe tick has always fascinated me. Fiction or nonfiction, if the book is written well, I'll probably really enjoy it.
5. What TV shows do you like?
Hmm, this one's tough since I've grown up not really watching much TV. As a kid, I did watch Pokemon, Arthur, Scooby Doo, saturday morning cartoons, Digimon, Wishbone, Dragon Tales, and the Magic School Bus when I could (totally just looked up 90's kids shows just to compile that list xD) *nostalgia rush* Today, I don't really watch any TV shows. I watch the occasional anime or sitcom when I'm bored, but other than that I don't really watch anything (no, you can't ask which sitcoms I like xD).
6. What do you plan to major in in college?
The plan is to major in graphic design. When I was a kid, I wanted to be a surgeon (I have many funny stories on that one...), and in mid school I was convinced I wanted to be a veterinary surgeon. Now I feel that my true calling lies in art. I still would like to volunteer at an animal shelter once I get settled, though. I love animals!
7. What is your dream job?
Ideally, I'd love to work as a concept artist for video games and movies. I have always watched behind-the-scenes stuff and saw concept artists at work and thought, "OHMAHGOSH THAT LOOKS LIKE THE BEST THING EVAR." I mean, I love taking other people's ideas and giving them artistic form. I love fantasy. I love creating weapons, armor, and creatures. I even like creating clothing/costume designs. It definitely seems like a tough job but I like to feel challenged. Plus, I could have my name in movie credits and stuff xD
At one point I also thought it'd be cool to work with National Geographic, travel the world, and draw the archaeology stuff for them. It would satiate my love for world travel, satisfy my artsiness, and keep me intrigued with the wonders of the ancient world.
8. What's your biggest pet peeve?
When people underestimate me. I have a huge ego (it usually doesn't show, though....), but it can be hurt easily. When people don't think I'm capable of accomplishing something it makes me very, very annoyed. I then want to do it even more so I can prove to them that I can. Even if I really can't finish their task, I at least appreciate it when people let me try first. But dismissing me before I even start is just painful. Bad grammar is another big pet peeve of mine. I even correct my teachers' papers/tests xD (this journal is exempt from that. I'm blah today lD)
9. Attributes of your perfect partner?
Well, my *perfect* partner list is
really long. But in general, I would like someone who is loyal, trustworthy, respects me, is kind, funny, accepts me for who I am, is cute, has a good heart, etc. He'd have to be a guy since I'm straight as heck, and I'd like it if he were as nerdy as I was. If he wasn't already a gamer, well then, he had better be willing to play tons of them with me xD I also like intelligent people who I can have meaningful conversations with. Shallow guys are the worst. I'd love for him to be taller than I am, as well as older or the same age. He'd also have to be open to trying new things. I'd like it if he shared my interests. They would also have to share my sense of humor. I thrive on making people laugh (believe it or not), so someone who doesn't get me in that way is a total turn-off. I could go on and on, but then it'd probably seem daunting. To any guys that are reading this, just so you know, most girls have very specific, long lists of their ideal man. But we're very flexible, and as long as you are honest and put your heart into it, we'll probably return the feelings

10. Things you hate most about the internet?
Hmm, this one is interesting! I guess the way it sucks my life up. I think it's one of the main reasons for my lack of drawing motivation....ever since I discovered the wonders of the internet, my drawing has decreased considerably. It's a stupid black hole of no return. And it gives me headaches. And yet I refuse to get off. It makes me stay up late. It's like a drug. I would not be comfortable discussing how long I spend on here. It's very unhealthy. *throws laptop out window*
...can you tell I like to talk? xD
Questions for you guys:1: If you had five minutes to talk to everyone in the world, what would you tell them?
2: What superpower(s) do you wish you had?
3: What inanimate object best symbolizes you?
4: What is the best smell in the whole world?
5: What is your zodiac symbol? Do you think that the zodiac is accurate, or a total hoax?
5: What are your favorite types of clothes to wear?
6: What kinds of things do you love to shop for?
7: What is your favorite holiday? Why?
8: What is a talent you wish you had?
9: What frustrates you to no end?
10: If heaven is real, what kinds of things do you hope will be there?
*totally not tagging anyone, anyone can do it if they want. I'd love to read your responses, though!

*Feel free to ask me more questions, if you'd like. xD
